Fees applying to all new tenancies from 1st June 2019
We may charge a tenant any or all of the following when required:
- The rent
- A security deposit with a maximum of 5 weeks rent (this will be protected in the DPS - Deposit Protection Service
- A holding deposit of no more than one week's rent which will be worked out as 1/52 of the annual total amount of rent
- A default fee for late payment of rent (after 14 days); there will be a charge of interest for the late payment of rent at a rate of 3% above the Bank of England base rate.
- Reasonable charges for the loss of keys or security fobs; Proof will be provided of these costs from £5 to a maximum of £50
- Payments associated with variation of the contract, at £50 when requested by the tenant: e.g., change of name, additional tenant/removal of a tenant
- Payments associated with terminated the tenancy early, when requested by the tenant and agreed by the landlord; you would be responsible for paying for landlord's remarketing fee and the rent up to the date a new tenant moves into the property.
- Payments in respect of any bills - Utilities (gas, water, electric etc), council tax, communication services (telephone, broadband) including installation and subscription & TV licence; all of which are payable to the provider/s
Lilac Lettings use an independent Credit Referencing Agency, UK Tenant Data to process all applications. Once your application has been submitted they will contact you and any person/persons you have provided as a reference
Lilac Lettings are members of an approved redress scheme as per current legislation. The scheme we use is The Property Ombudsman (The TPO)
